Description

The Astral 150 Adult and Pediatric Ventilator offer the same award-winning light-weight design as the Astral 100, but with added clinical benefits. While the Astral 100 uses a single-valve circuit system, the Astral 150 utilizes a double-circuit system to more accurately measure a patient’s exhaled breath in real time. For this particular BIPAP/CPAP accessory, Resmed also added integrated FiO2 monitoring for measuring the percentage of enriched oxygen the patient uses. Additionally, the manufacturers added two more preset programs, making four total preset programs for this particular model. The Astral 150 Adult and Pediatric Ventilator’s new manual breath and sigh features copy natural breathing patterns with larger than normal breath and an alarm that beeps to warn prior to the programmed interval sigh breath. These upgrades to the Astral 100, combined with the same best battery-to-weight ratio on the market and the standard Astral intelligent features, make the Astral 150 an even more comprehensive system for meeting a patient’s changing daily requirements.

Product Benefits:

  • Builds on the Astral 100 features with an even more versatile solution
  • A double-circuit system more accurately measures patient exhaled breath in real time
  • Manual breath and sigh features mimic natural breathing patterns
  • Monitor the percentage of enriched oxygen used
  • Configure up to four ventilation programs
